PsychonautEx Initiative: Privacy Policy

Last revised: 10.28.2026

Thank you for visiting psychonautexinitiative.com and the course, sales and sign-up pages connected to it ("this website"). This Privacy Policy is published by Trinocular Media AS ("we", "us", "our"), which runs the PsychonautEx Initiative. It explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

We understand the importance that Internet users place on privacy and have designed our service with this in mind. You agree to this Privacy Policy, in its entirety, when you: 1) access or use this website; 2) select and register for an offer(s) on this website by clicking the offer(s) presented; and/or 3) give your express consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of our Privacy Policy, please do not use or access this website.

Please read this Privacy Policy before using this site or submitting any personal information.

The short version:

  • No spam.
  • Unsubscribe any time.
  • We don't sell your data.

If you live in the EU/EEA, the UK or California, see section 6 for the extra rights you have. See section 3 for our rules on age.

1. Information we collect

A. Personal information you give us

You give us personal information when you request a free resource, join a mailing list, buy a course, create an account, post in a community, or email us. Depending on what you do, this can include:

  • your name and email address, when you sign up for a free resource or join our list;
  • account details, course progress and comments, if you join a course or community;
  • billing details, which are handled by our payment provider (we never see or store full card numbers);
  • messages you send us, including support requests.

How we use it. We use your personal information to:

  • send you the free resource you asked for, and the short email sequence that explains how to use it
  • deliver courses, accounts and support you've bought or requested
  • send newsletters and offers, where you have agreed to receive them or the law otherwise allows it
  • improve our content and this website;
  • keep records and meet our legal obligations.

Email. When you submit your email address, we'll send you the resource you asked for and the emails described above. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We may still send you operational emails such as receipts and access messages.

Who we share it with. (We don't sell your data. We share it only as described here):

  • Service providers that help us run the website, emails and payments. They receive only what they need to do their job, under written terms. These include Kajabi, which hosts this website, our courses, stores your email address and sends our emails (based in the United States), and a payment processor.
  • Legal reasons. We share data when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to stop fraud.
  • Change of ownership. If the business is sold or merged, your data would move with it, subject to data protection law.
  • Advertising platforms. We use your email address for ad targeting, as described below.

Ad targeting (custom audiences). When you give us your email address, we may use it to show our ads to you on advertising platforms such as Facebook/Meta and Google. These platforms let us upload a list of email addresses (a "custom audience") so our ads reach people who have already signed up to hear from us, or people similar to them. The email addresses are scrambled (hashed) before they're matched, and the platforms don't use them to give us any new information about you.

You can stop this at any time:

  • Ask us. Email [email protected] with the subject line "No ad targeting" and we'll remove your email address from our custom audiences.
  • On Facebook. Click the three dots in the corner of any of our ads and choose "Hide ad". To change how ads are shown to you across all advertisers, go to Settings, then Ads (or Ad preferences), and adjust what advertisers can use.
  • On Google. Click the "x" or the "AdChoices" icon on any of our ads and choose "Stop seeing this ad". You can also manage personalised ads in your Google account's ad settings.

Other ad platforms we may use in the future offer similar ways to hide our ads.

International transfers. Some providers, including Kajabi, are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, we rely on an approved safeguard.

B. Information collected automatically

When you visit this website, we and our providers collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, approximate location, the pages you view, how long you stay and which page you came from. We use this to keep the website running and to understand, at a high level, which pages are useful.

Cookies and pixels. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Pixel tags are tiny images that do a similar job. Necessary cookies (login, checkout, security) are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies, including advertising pixels such as the Meta pixel, run only after you accept them in the cookie banner, where the law requires consent. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though some parts of the website may then not work.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to see how visitors use this website. It runs only after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. You can opt out at any time through the cookie banner, or by using Google's browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics.

Email metrics. Our email tool may record whether an email was opened or a link clicked.

2. Third-party websites and links

This website may link to websites, tools or services run by other people. We don't control them, and this policy doesn't cover them, so please read their own privacy policies.

3. Age

This website and our courses are for adults aged 21 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger. If we learn we have, we'll delete it. If you believe a minor has given us their details, contact us (section 7).

4. IP addresses

We use IP addresses to keep the website secure, prevent fraud, diagnose technical problems and estimate visitors' general location.

5. How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We rely on our providers' security controls, such as access control, encryption in transit and account authentication, and we limit access to people who need it. No system or internet connection is completely secure, so we can't guarantee the security of what you send us. Email in particular may not be secure, so please take care over what you put in an email to us.

6. Updating, deleting or exporting your information

Mailing lists. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.

Your rights. Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. If the GDPR applies to you (EU/EEA, and the UK GDPR in the UK), you can also ask us to:

  • restrict or stop certain uses of your data, including direct marketing and ad targeting;
  • export the data you gave us;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything we did before).

If you live in California, you may also have rights under the CCPA, including the rights to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. We don't sell your personal information. If our use of advertising platforms counts as 'sharing' under California law, you can opt out by emailing [email protected] with the subject line 'No ad targeting'.

How to ask. Email [email protected] with one of these subject lines: "Data request" (a copy of your data), "Delete my data", "Export my data", "Restrict my data" or "No ad targeting". Send it from the email address we have on file. We may ask for a little more to confirm it's you. We'll reply within one month, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. We may keep some records when the law requires it, for example invoices for bookkeeping, and some data may be anonymised rather than deleted. Once data is deleted, we can't restore it.

Complaints. You can complain to the data protection authority where you live, or to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).

9. Terms

Your use of this website is also covered by our Terms and Conditions, which are part of this Privacy Policy by reference.

10. If part of this policy is invalid

If any part of this Privacy Policy turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be read as closely as the law allows to what was intended, and the rest stays in force.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll post any updates here and change the "Last revised" date. If a change is significant, we'll also email active subscribers and customers where we can.
